Drew J. Hope graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in engineering from the University of Central Florida in 1985. His first job with NASA was as a space shuttle payload processing engineer at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral. In 1990, Drew moved north to work at NASA Langley Research Center as a mechanical design engineer and structural analyst. In this role, he developed test articles for a wide variety of wind tunnels and flight systems for hypersonic test vehicles and science instruments. In 2000, Drew began his management career first as an assistant branch head in the Model Instrumentation Systems Branch and then as branch head in the Mechanical Systems Branch from 2005 to 2010. Most recently he served as the associate director for science in the Engineering Directorate working with multiple NASA centers, directorates and branches in the development of Earth Science instruments. In August 2017 Drew was selected as program manager for the Game Changing Development Program Office within the Space Technology Mission Directorate.
